Schooling at Fatima Convent Hugh School, SKZR
From LKG in 1967 to SSC in 1979.
Intermediate at Government Junior College, SKZR from 1979 to 1981.
B.SC at J.B. College of Science , Wardha from 1981 to 1984.
CAREER
Employed as Chemist in Cellulose Acetate department of SIRSIK Ltd Company,
SKZR in 1984. Was Laid Off in just six months as the Factory went into Closure.
Door to door Market Research Surveyor job in Madras in 1985 for 4 months.
Employed as Chemist in Quality Control Department of Sirpur Paper Mill , SKZR in
1985-1986.
Employed in Ministerial category of Personal department on South Central Railway
in 1986 and continued thereafter.
ACTIVITIES
During Schooling -
Sports : Running race, High Jump, Long Jump, Sack race . Gully Cricket at
residence colony.
Literary :
Writing Poems from 3 rd standard . Took part in Essay Writing, Elocution
Competitions and Science Exhibitions.
Leadership:
Elected as Class leader in three batches.
Social : Fancy Dress competitions at School and Sirsilk Club .
During Intermediate –
Sports : Hockey . Played in Intra District Tournament.
Caroms was favourite (striking 8 coins plus red in a row
was my peak). Shuttle Badminton player and Kabaddi.
Literary : Mock Parliament and Debate competitions. Wrote short stories.
During Graduation :
Sports : Volley ball, Table tennis, Carom Board.
Literary : Essay writing , Elocution , Debate competitions in Intra College and Inter
College levels.
Leadership : Elected a Class Representative on Student Alliance panel for Two years
in a row.
Was part of the Student Alliance leadership in 1985-86. Led agitations on
facilities in College and Hostel. Blood donation every six months was a habit.
ACTIVIST
From 1987 being in Trade Union . Organizing workers, Conducting agitations and
struggles, Lectures in TU education & seminars .
Organizing Exhibitions, Sloganeering, Oraganising Seminars/ Conferences/ Public
meetings/Sports/Picnics/Youth& Women Conventions/ Cultural events &
activities/Editing Journal .
Taking part in several Unity meetings/ Conventions/Agitations/ solidarity actions.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Literary -Reading journals, books. Writing articles, Leaflets. Compiling study
materials and notes . Always a Student to enrich further .
Culture - Playing Tabla, Mrudangam, Congo and Bongo. Watching and listening to
enthralling music(Sufiana , Classical, Melodies and Fast beats are my favourites)
Watching Films.
Gardening – My latest passion. Trees at Ground, Crottons at Balcony, Veg & fruit
plants at Terrace.
Get-togethers – Organizing Meets of Classmates, Schoolmates, Friends .
Laughter – is appetite. Love Humour and being humorous.
Photography – Indeed it is. Clicks of Birds, Nature …

My Passion . Lots of travel across the country . Love Nature, Architecture, Sculpture and Adventure. Scuba Diving, Paragliding are some hallmarks. Tour organizer.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Schooling – Won prizes in Elocution, Fancy dress completions and some sports
events.
Twice elected as Class leader.
Poetry on nature & school picnics.
Intermediate – Wrote detective short stories and a few poems. Played in Intra
District Hockey event .
Graduation – From a shy boy ..was forced to plunge in Student Union activities
and got matured . Was elected prestigious Class representative with overwhelming
majorities. Was part of the Student Alliance leadership in 1985-86.
Won prizes in Essay Writing competitions.
Employee – Elected Director of the SCR employees Coop Credit Society twice in
1989 and 1992.
Served as BEC member of DO Branch of SCRMU , Asst.Secretary, Secretary.
Asst. Divl Secretary and Divl.Secretary of SC divn of SCRMU and now as Asst.
Gen.Secy .
Trade Unionist- Organised Technical Staff Convention at Nampally, Engineering
staff convention at Kazipet, Zonal working Committee at Kazipet. Annual General
Council meeting at Kazipet in 2014 was a milestone .
Organised Cricket Tournaments for Youth employees, Conventions on Bhagat
Singh Shaid Diwas, Ambedkar/Phule birthdays was a regular feature.
Organised Excursions for women staff , Picnics for youth.
Media-TV debates on Railway issues , General Budget in several channels. Articles
on Railways & Safety were published in 4 newspapers.
ALUMNI – Get –Together of School Classmates of 1979 batch initiated .
As part of organizing team, the Golden Jubilee of School (2013) was a great success. Was able to network with various batches through FB and mails and bring together 900 ex- students for the Meet.
